Our Story
The origin of our journey began with a personal struggle that many people in UK can relate to. We dreamed of owning a big house but couldn’t afford it. Despite working hard, we failed to secure a mortgage or down payment. Disappointed but determined, we decided to extend our current property instead.
We extensively researched, asked questions, inquired, and finally hired a company for the extension work. However, our lack of experience led to us being cheated at every step. The builders exploited us in many ways, took advantage of our naivety, overcharging for materials and using substandard workmanship. Even the private building control we hired was complicit, signing off on poor quality work without proper inspections.
Our ordeal included a poorly installed roof, lack of fire door, and builders cutting corners to maximize profits. When we confronted them, they threatened us and shifted the blame. We endured a long, painful two-year battle, seeking help from every possible avenue like police, citizen advice bureau, trading standards, FMB, adjudication but found no justice. We didn’t have fifty thousand pound to do a court case against the company. We were told even if we win the builder will close the company showing bankruptcy and open another company and will repeat the same process again. In the end, we had to take a loan to fix the mess and get our building signed off, suffering immense financial and personal stress.
This harrowing experience still hurts too much till this date. This has motivated us to become the solution for others facing similar issues.
